A few words about my book: in this book, I give an overview of the exciting field of wireless Internet telecommunications. Wireless and the Internet are two of the hottest growth areas in telecommunications. In this book, I explain critical developments that are making the two work together. The book goes from discussing requirements for the wireless Internet, to explaining the rationale behind various protocols and architectures that are designed to meet these requirements, to showing how these protocols and architectures work. Chapters 11 and 12 provide a "real-world" example of how the solutions and protocols come together in an actual system.
